Firefighters at Sihanouk International Airport awarded certificate by SSCA
The firefighters underwent a three-month training program to further ensure their preparation in event of emergency.Cambodia Airports is committed to regular training and certification of its firefighting teams, ensuring ICAO standards are met across all three of its airports.
The firefighters at Sihanouk International recently underwent three months’ worth of additional specialization training in Fundamental Skills in Rescue and Firefighting.
According to one trainee, Lim Chan, the training course – which lasted from mid-September through mid-December — was especially rigorous, and helped to build camaraderie and discipline among the team.
Firefighters that completed the program were awarded with certificates at a ceremony held on December 24 last month, during which their efforts and training were recognized. The Sihanouk International firefighters were the third and final team to receive this training, which had previously been administered to the teams in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
Cambodia Airports is successful in great part thanks to the hard work, determination, and commitment of its staff, as evidenced in the success of the Sihanouk International firefighters.
