Options increase as more international and Cambodian brands open
Expanding range of dining, shopping and service options continues to blend uniquely local and international brands.Two more Cambodian retail brands opened at Siem Reap International Airport (REP) late last year: Senteurs d’Angkor's locally sourced products celebrate the culinary and fragrant heritage of Cambodia, while social enterprise Smateria offers vibrantly designed hand and travel bags produced in a healthy and safe workplace.
Starbucks debuted in Siem Reap International Airport in August and a Levis outlet opened in December. At the end of February this year, Hard Rock Shop opened in the international departures lounge. International specialist news and convenience store Relay also debuted in Cambodia last year, opening branches in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh international airports.
Phnom Penh International Airport also saw the arrival of electronics accessory shop Tech2go as well as several new restaurants and refreshment kiosks, including Dairy Queen and Park Cafe, expanding its array of Asian and Western favorites. By the end of last year, all major mobile service providers greeted passengers at arrivals, while the number of ATM providers expanded to 10 Cambodian and international banks.
