Emirates celebrates 1 year
Global leader marks first year of landmark service linking Phnom Penh and Dubai with special fares and exclusive deals.
Emirates, one of the world’s largest airlines, celebrated the first anniversary of its route linking Phnom Penh with the Middle East’s financial capital, Dubai, by introducing reduced fares across its massive network, which includes more than 150 destinations around the globe.
The special fares went on offer the day after the carrier celebrated the one year anniversary of its inaugural flight to Cambodia, which touched downed on July 1, 2017. The airline, which has also offered a cargo service since 2016, said its daily flights to Dubai offer Cambodian passengers access to one of the world’s largest aviation hubs, as well as award-winning cuisine and inflight entertainment.
Emirates has carried almost 100,000 passengers on the route, which includes a stop in Yangon, since it commenced service. Executives at the airline expressed great confidence in Cambodia’s aviation sector, calling it one of the fastest growing in the world, and said they were committed to continuing to play a vital role in the Kingdom’s development.
