Fighting to end wildlife trafficking

As a surge in the ivory trade threatens to drive Cambodia’s sacred elephants to extinction, the Airports has struck up a partnership with Fauna & Flora International to help save this endangered species. With the support of the Ministry of Environment, Cambodia Airports is showcasing a large sculpture of an adolescent Asian elephant that is made up of thousands of snares that have been gathered in the Cardamom Mountains. The sculpture, which is currently on display in the Arrivals Hall of the capital’s airport, is meant to increase travelers’ awareness of the plight of Cambodia’s trafficked and endangered species.
