AIRLINE OF THE MONTH
New Cambodian-founded airline debuts
KC International Airlines is scheduled to begin service with nearly a dozen regional flights.
A proud image of Angkor Wat, set on a blue and red backdrop reminiscent of Cambodia’s national flag, is painted on the side of each plane operated by the newly established KC International Airlines.
KC International announced a schedule of its first flights earlier this month with a mission to offer low cost tickets and exceptional service. The airline is launching weekly flights between the major metropolises of Cambodia and China, with its inaugural flight taking to the skies on August 27 to connect the cities of Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville. It now offers regular routes between these two cities, and next month will launch triweekly flights between Sihanoukville and the glittering Chinese city of Macau.
As a Sino-Cambodian joint venture founded in the Kingdom, it is the seventh locally-founded carrier currently operating--and it has its eye set on eventually becoming Cambodia’s national airline.
Touting the slogan “Fly Further, Be Closer”, the airline promises each of its passengers warm and friendly service in all four of its travel classes, including group as well as flex, standard, and basic economy.
KC International intends to expand its hybrid services in the upcoming months, with upcoming flights scheduled to operate popular business routes to South Korea, Japan and several other Asean countries.
