JC Airlines makes visiting the temples of Myanmar a short trip
Cambodia’s JC Airlines seems to be adding new routes almost weekly, as the successful airline grows in load factor and popularity.
Most recently, it has added a new direct route from Phnom Penh to Yangon in Myanmar, the only airline to offer such a route between the two cities.
The airline wanted to promote communication between Cambodia and Myanmar in the economic, cultural, and tourism fields, according to a spokesman, as well as to introduce a convenient traveling experience to the country. Previously a business traveler would have to waste a workday simply traveling, but the faster trip allows for more business and productivity.
JC Airlines started in 2017 with a domestic flight between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, and international flight between Siem Reap and Macau. It is one of only two airlines that services all three airports in Cambodia. It has grown exponentially in the last two and a half years and now holds the lion’s share of the market for flights to China from both Siem Reap and Sihanoukville. The market is so strong that JC Airlines has added nine routes to cities in China in 2019 alone.
The airline has plans for new routes in the future, but we’ll have to wait with bated breath until they’re announced!
