DESTINATION OF THE MONTH
Always Spring in Kunming
Explore the natural beauty of China’s flowering city as flights between Kunming and the Kingdom increase in frequency.

In China, they call Kunming the ‘City of Eternal Spring’ because, with its moderate climate, the capital of Yunnan province is home to flowers that bloom all year long. All three of our airports are now connected to this blossoming city, with routes serviced by two Chinese carriers and one Cambodian airline.
Service between Cambodia and Kunming grew last month, as Ruili Airlines commenced thrice weekly flights between Kunming and Phnom Penh on July 13, just days before China Eastern Airlines increased the frequency of its service between the two cities to five flights weekly. Both airlines offer three flights a week between Kunming and Siem Reap, while Ruili offers daily flights from Sihanoukville.
With additional routes offered by JC International, there are now more than 20 weekly flights connecting Kunming to Cambodia. As the first flights to the city were initially offered in 2004, hundreds of thousands of passengers have since traveled between the Kingdom and Kunming.
It is no wonder that service to the city has increased, as Kunming is a growing tourist destination offering a bustling old city district, astounding architecture and a vibrant music scene. Visitors can practice tai chi at sunrise in the city’s Green Lake Park, view the limestone formations at the nearby Stone Forest, or take a trip out to Yunnan’s scenic region to enjoy the caves and deep valleys of neighboring townships.
All the while, travelers have the option to fly back to Cambodia with ease on any given day of the week.
