Growth continues to surge at double-digit rates at all three of Cambodia’s international airports
New routes are helping drive passenger growth, which has surged 58 percent in Sihanoukville, 33 percent in Phnom Penh and 15 percent in Siem Reap during the first four months of 2018.
The expansion of routes began on January 25, JC Airlines launched new daily flights between Singapore and Phnom Penh. On January 28, Xiamen Airlines began four flights between Xiamen, a port city in Fujian Province, and Phnom Penh, opening the first direct link between the two cities. In the same month Lanmei Airlines opened a new route connecting Bangkok and Phnom Penh with four flights a week.
Hainan Airlines began twice weekly flights between Shenzhen and Sihanoukville on March 19, while Ruili Airlines launched three flights a week between Kunming and Sihanoukville on March 25.
