Cambodia Airports looks ahead to a promising new year
Cambodia Airports is experiencing record growth while maintaining high service standards.
Cambodia Airports welcomed 10 million passengers this year, and would like to thank the hardworking staff, local business partners, and governmental institutions whose commitments were crucial to make this goal a reality.
This month, we at Cambodia Airports celebrated an important milestone: We welcomed our 10 millionth passenger of the year. As we celebrate this accomplishment, we would like to thank our local partners, whose ongoing collaboration and cooperation have contributed to our reaching this auspicious goal.
As we move into the new year, we take this time to reflect on past developments and set our sights on the future. Terminal expansions, refurbishment and infrastructure projects at each of our airports were recently undertaken to help develop capacity in advance of further growth. Sihanouk International, our fastest growing airport, was notably outfitted with a newly refurbished terminal and an ongoing runway extension to accommodate larger aircraft capable of long-haul flights, opening the airport to direct routes from distant cities.
Development remains a continuous process for us, and all three airports will see further upgrades in the course of the upcoming year. Sihanouk International will be equipped with a new terminal in a near future, while the terminals at Siem Reap and Phnom Penh will be further extended and outfitted with larger and modern infrastructure.
We are also committed to cultivating a sense of place for every traveler, infusing each of our airports with a sense of the Cambodian culture, and we strive to maintain this local flavor in each of our new facilities. This attention to detail is an important tenet of VINCI Airports’ approach, whose renowned global network ‑which was recently expanded to 45 airports after its acquisition of London’s Gatwick Airport‑ is strengthened by this practice of localization.
Our airports’ expansion and modernized amenities contribute greatly to each of our passengers’ experiences. We look forward to all 2019 has to offer as we welcome new travelers, deliver quality service, and strengthen our collaborations with stakeholders.
We wish each of our partners and passengers a successful and rewarding new year.
