I am happy and proud to share with you this major news: CAPA Centre for Aviation selected Phnom Penh International Airport as the Best Asia Pacific Regional Airport 2019!
It is an astonishing award, knowing that CAPA Centre for Aviation, a world-leading and trusted organization and its Aviation Awards for Excellence, is highly esteemed and recognized by aviation professionals and the travel industry.
Phnom Penh International Airport ranked first in the under 10 million passenger category thanks to: its innovative strategy which led to a sustainable growth of more than 25% over two years (2017/2018); the very rapid completion of runway works, expanding the potential for new long-haul flights; and its contribution (together with the two other airports in Siem Reap and in Sihanoukville) to Cambodia’s total GDP and job creation.
The panel of aviation peers recognize Phnom Penh International Airport as “The regional airport that has established itself as a leader and done the most to advance the progress of the aviation industry.”
This great achievement was made possible because we have all joined hands and set the highest standards in terms of infrastructure development, operational efficiency, safety and security, and services to our customers.
